Monique Giroux (Playwright) has written the full-length play: THE POOL BOY which received a staged reading at 1st Mondays, Naked Angels, NY (2022) and at Round The Bend Theatre in Saugerties, NY (2022). Her play: LUCILE was workshopped by Naked Angels in New York and received a staged reading at Theatre@First in Boston (Fall 2022). Her play SHEEP’S MEADOW is the runner-up for the Alpine Fellowship Theatre Prize 2021. Monique also wrote a one-act play: A BITTER PILL which received a Zoom reading by The Quarantine Series Theatre Company (2020). Monique graduated from NYU with a Bachelor of Arts and Science and from McGill University (Montreal) with a MBA. She founded The Armadillo Theatre Company in Toronto, Ontario to produce new American and Canadian playwrights. She worked as associate producer for Les Productions La Fete on the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Memoirs, a six-episode english and french documentary on the late prime minister of Canada which aired on the CBC/Radio-Canada. She was Literary Associate under Curt Dempster at The Ensemble Studio Theatre
Rachel Sabo-Hedges (Director) is a multi-hyphenate director and actor from a family of theater artists. After moving to New York, she became the associate director for Tony Award Nominee Hunter Foster. Since then she’s continued to work with Hunter as well as develop and direct new works in NYC. She wants to thank the whole team for making this show happen and especially Monique for writing so fearlessly. Seynique Smythe (Babylon) is a NYC-based comedian, actor, writer, and podcaster from Washington D.C. After completing her studies in international relations, she moved to Chicago in 2018 for a job in disaster relief but later found herself on the stages of the Annoyance Theatre, iO, and the Second City, making an ass of herself but having a great time doing it. Since then, she’s studied improv at the Annoyance and iO as a DiOversity Scholar, written and performed as part of the sketch comedy group, Diversity Hire and Wrong Kind of Talent, and performed in the horror-comedy tradition Splatter Theatre at the Annoyance, among other things. She also produces her own solo sketch comedy videos on Twitter and YouTube and hosts two comedy podcasts, Everybody Wants Something and We Die First. She has also been featured at the Detroit Women of Comedy Festival (2023, 2024).
Leorah Wood (Twist) is a Brooklyn based actress and comedian, graduating with a BFA in Drama from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Favorite roles include Man in Chair in Drowsy Chaperone (NYU CAST) and Actor 5/Sarah in We are Proud to Present… (Tisch Student Works). Fresh off a national tour with the comedy variety show, The Sleepover Show, Leorah is excited to be back performing in NYC! If you enjoy listening to her talk, her hour long stand up special, Dress Up, is available on YouTube. Above all else, she is proficient at kazoo.

Leah Nicole Raymond (Joan) is a queer stage and screen actor. Select TV/Film Credits: What Would You Do? Jake Steinberg (Sam) is a third year actor in Columbia University’s MFA program. Some past Columbia productions include Lanford Wilson’s Fifth of July (Jed Jenkins), Sorry Sorry Okay Sorry (David) by Emily Elyse Everett, Meg Ledford’s Conservation of Matter, William Shakespeare’s The Tempest (Stephano/Sebastian), in addition to She Kills Monsters (Orcus) at Washington University in St. Louis. Film credits include playing Motti in The Shidduch Crisis (ReelWorks), where he received a “Best Actor” nomination at the Student New York Film Festival. He is very excited and fortunate to be a part of the Babylon and Twist team!
Stacey Raymond (Sally) started off 2024 originating the role of Polly in the world premiere production of P. Carl's play BECOMING A MAN at American Repertory Theater, directed by Tony Award-winning director Diane Paulus and P. Carl. Stacey has appeared in dozens of performances, workshops and readings with such theaters as New York Theatre Workshop, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Manhattan Theatre Club, Ensemble Studio Theater, Page 73, LAByrinth Theater Company, The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center and The Civilians, to name a few.
